These little birds live out on the plains where there is some scrub. I was so thrilled to get a photo of one because Id seen them before. Their eyes look disproportionately big to me and make me smile. its called a Southern Whiteface.

How unusual... the eye looks almost human ... you don't usually see  such a pale or white  iris around a pupil  in a bird so is it an optical illusion? Great catch by the way  Cheryl  with that  uncluttered background...
