and it is a window on the river isn't it ...

One of those cases where I was just walking along the path and saw the image (and hoped that I had the right lens in my bag).

Shows just how important it is to always have your camera with you ...even when not expecting to find something to capture..Have you used Fomapan  100  film before James with the Intrepid... I really like the results and would be interested to see more from your roll. It seems less granular than some of the other films you have used  and the  contrasts are really nice  ...   I like  the results a lot James ...

The Intrepid is hardly a casual-carry camera though it is lighter than most other large format cameras. But I wasn't expecting any shots along that reach as there's hedge between the path & the river and on the other side of the path a rather dull arable field.

I probably use Fomapan 100 more than any other film stock in large format, grain always tends to be less noticable in large format as the grain size is about the same but the image area is much bigger, so the film choice is not as critical. Of the "big four", Foma is quite a bit cheaper per unit area in LF than in MF or 35mm, while Ilford is about the same, and Kodak & Fuji are much more expensive in LF.

Silly me ... of course the Intrepid , beautiful as it is , certainly does not  hang around one's neck like  most modern cameras  do  or even some older ones  and I can see   with that large format that the grain size would be less noticeable.. I can see why you enjoy the results from  that camera though....<sodemoji.1f44d></sodemoji.1f44d>
