Got to one of the new 'doggie walk' spots and nobody else was there, so we had a casual cruise around.

Some interesting textures and colours in the tree trunks - and believe me they are big!

So much green!

A nice Wood Duck standing on one leg and quacking to his partner, who was somewhere up in a tree.

And I saw an alien face in the grass too!

Thank Rye & Denis - yes, Rye it is a completely different look to what I was used to, so green everywhere, and even around my new home there are plants that I was never able to grow up where we were, mainly because I have 'proper soil' here, not rock reefs!!

Denis this area was very lucky when the fires took off - no major incidents or burns for at least 50 kmls away, and the whole of the Shire is so lush and green. It certainly is cattle country. Will try to get some decent landscape shots when our weather turns to Spring.
