I've been missing my steam engine fix, Union of South Africa is currently at the ELR until it's heritage boiler ticket expires and at he moment there are no plans to overhaul

No Geoff, sadly it is destined for static display in Scotland.  I think that its main line certificate ran out in March but whether it can still run on a heritage line for a while, I don't know.

According to the Railadvent website, it's heritage railway boiler ticket is valid until next year - it might get extended a bit as it's not been running.

Thanks for the comments.  Being locked down and the standard of TV progs at the moment is encouraging more time at the computer so I'm "playing" a lot more.   Probably not a good thing in itself but.....................

I've just bought a Fujifilm X Series book by  Dan Bailey as I Know I'm not maximising my camera's full potential...so it arrived today...256 pages to go .....

Might as well be productive as it's for too hot to even got in the garden after 10am !

Anyway  John ...there's nowt wrong with  having a play and widening one's creative horizon ... at least that's what I tell my other half  that I'm doing ....
