A bit late for sunset

Recommended Posts

Decided to go out and give my 35mm f1.8 a bit of a try, not really used it much since I got it. The plan was to go into Morecambe and catch the sunset, then wander around as the lights came on. Missed it by minutes; must try harder next time. Aren't the nights drawing in fast now!

Lovely shots, Martyn. What do you think of it?

It took me a bit of practice to get used to having more light through the lens, but I'm loving mine.
That's the one that I used for the Morris dancers and shots from the Birmingham library and it fast becoming a favourite.

After using compact point & shoot and mobile phones to take pictures in the past, I think it's amazing. I wouldn't have believed that you could take a photograph in such low light conditions. It also gives me a sense of freedom not having to think about zooming. It's still on the camera and it's staying there for a while! :yes

I feel the same about the low light and not having to worry about zooming.

Although I have my 50-300mm zoom, the 35mm has been on the camera for weeks now.
