VE Day - 75 years on

Recommended Posts

At the retirement apartments where I live, on VE Day anniversary, I took a few pictures of people hanging out of their windows, waving their flags and singing We'll Meet Again.

This one is my favourite :)

Aw Bless him...  Maybe you should do a collage of them all Stella ..  I thoroughly enjoyed the day and I thought the revised celebrations   were probably more meaningful to  the public than the original  programme was in the end ... We owe such a debt  to that generation ...   A lovely picture capturing the essence of their character .. Love it Stella !!

I agree with others comments about this image. It tells a story about this man and what’s important to him: the expression on his eyes that look directly into the camera...and that tiny flag.
