gorgeous view.  looks a little hazy or smoky, were you there during wildfire season?

We were due to stay in Yosemite, but the fires started a few months before we were due to go and burnt out the area we were to stay at  .... so we diverted our stay to near Kings Canyon & the Sequoia Parks instead.  So yes, it was during the 2017 fires.  We day tripped there from Mariposa

2017 was a bad year for fires.  i was in jackson, wy near the tetons in september and october and i was watching the fires coming north through the valley.  they didn't think it was going to come to jackson, but you could see the fires lighting up the mountains every night.  it wasn't too far off.

Our hotel was the Narrow Gauge Inn up nearby The Sugar Pine Railway in the forest in September  .... but we lost contact with them a month or so before we were going to go. Thats why we ended up further South
