ENCOUNTERS OF A SMALL KIND

Experimenting currently with my lovely vintage JUPITER 9 portrait lens....a real beauty copied from high quality pre-war lenses from Germany by Russia.

The lens is well known for it shap renderings, fantastic all metal and glass build...never mind the strong smell of ...Tank Grease... yes, they used heavy vehicle grease to lubricate the moving parts.

Mine came in a purpose built case, complete with original guarantee ...open the lid, and his could be sitting inside a Soviet tank.

The lens is worth looking at on Google and YouTube.

Here it had two extension rings behind it ....an excellent macro conversion.

Looks like you're make good use of it.

I did at one point think of getting one for my Kiev-4 but the Contax/Kiev mount version is not that common. The 135mm Jupiter (can't remember the number offhand)  is much more common.
