Very nice ... out of interest Barbara do you make your own textures too ...  I know I originally bought a load then found making my own to add to my library  was a lot of fun too.  ..

Thanks Polly

I do have a few of my own but I always seem to be short of inspiration and generally end up with a bit of a hotch potch .

I never have any preconceived Ideas when I start  working with textures  and just like to scan all my  library for something I think may work.

I do have an awful lot of unfinished  bits that just won't gel and that one day I will go back and give another try

Looks like you might be a fan of English Salt glaze stoneware too methinks ....

I do have just one piece, which has a very long story to it. A piece of Chesterfield /Brampton Pottery , it came from the Swan Inn , Chesterfield circa1921

beautiful light.  jury is still out on the textures for me.  i like that there's something in the negative space, but the text and especially the grapes are a little distracting and compete with the snowdrops.  maybe decrease the opacity on the text a little or go with something with text that isn't as bold.  i like the blue/gold color palette you've got.

I often don't notice  the finer  details  until pointed out by another pair of eyes :)
