Tenby in the second week of January was surprisingly warm and welcoming ...  it only actually rained once in  7 days !!

Is that St. Catherine's island?  I seem to remember there being a small indoor zoo there.  That was the early 1970s though - I doubt it's still there.

Thanks Gareth ...yeah that 's St Catherines..  Still haven't been on it yet ...have not seen anything though to suggest there is a  zoo of any kind on there ... I have to admit  i love the skies at Tenby ...They are always worth photographing . even if the composition isn't great, I still  can't resist a good sky ...

That's the view I remember.
I doubt the zoo is still there now - the conditions for the "inmates" probably wouldn't meet modern standards.  I remember being traumatised as a child when I saw they were feeding newly hatched chicks to the eagle.

A very familiar location - I recently painted a picture of this!

“Was”. Being the operative word there Kate...  I didn’t know that either .......We love Tenby  and had a great week Theron January for a change .. There’s a smashing Italian restaurant called Florentino’s overlooking the harbour  that we frequent  and we rent a smashing little cottage in the town..... means we don’t even need to drive anywhere for a week that we’re there !

Our friend (sadly no longer with us) lived in St Julian Terrace overlooking the harbour, so we used to visit from time to time.

We used to stay in a caravan in Saundersfoot - just down the road from Tenby, but went into Tenby just about every day. 
I still remember the restaurants we used to go to - the "Pam Pam" and the "Bib & Tucker".  I don't suppose either of them is still there now.
