From Hackpen Hill

IMG_0005.thumb.jpg.cab3b8393b9b1061f141e541f81ecba7.jpg

Taken with the 1930's Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta 530/2.

I think that the ground wind was stronger than the high level winds, I was almost blown off the ridge, but is seemed to take forever for that bit of cloud to the upper left to move off the village.

Is this near the white horse?

It's a few miles east of the Uffington White Horse, along the Ridgeway. I think there is another Hackpen Hill towards the other end of the Ridgeway that has a white horse (I recall being confused by a photo from one of Flickr's other analogue photographers).

Looks a nice part of the world with the village down in the dell so to speak.  Did you have a filter fitted.  a 2x yellow might have brought those clouds out a bit more.

Nice to see you using an old camera like the Super Ikonta.  It's a camera I have always wanted to own but they are a rare find these days.  Missed one recently at our local auction house due to being away on holiday.  Described as looking almost new.  Went for £70.  I've finally, managed to find some 127 B/W film for the AGFA Billy 0 that I had refurbished last year and I'll be giving that an outing once I able to.

No, no filter -- I don't have any for that camera. I think it uses "System V" or some such, and the documentation for what you actually need for "System" filters is thin on the ground.
