Experimental design for gift wrapping paper...

Recommended Posts

I played  around with an  image of a some succulent plants I had taken with a view to using them in a texturised form  to design some gift wrapping paper, notelets and gift tags ... of course I can do endless colourways  but ... I'm not sure if the design is too big maybe .....???

How interesting that you are using succulents to design gift wrap, Polly. I think the flowers work well for this purpose.

Just wondering how the overall pattern will look with  the top three are all lighter than the bottom three.

I see where you are coming from Cheryl ... the top ones were pale green and the lower ones were  a deep burgundy red ... They were on a shelf in a garden centre so I could have moved them around  I suppose eh ..Also the  texture I used  was darker on the lower half too ... Still... I quite like the idea of wrapping paper with a gradient  ..lol...    Maybe this looks more balanced ...

I think this version does look more balanced, Polly. Have you made wrapping paper before?
