Stainforth Force.

Stainforth is a small village just outside Settle in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.  It sits beside a river and waterfall (Force).  The bridge is an old Pack Horse bridge and if you go there. avoid that as the route in.  The lane from the B6479 is extremely narrow as is the bridge.  I'd gone there because Salmon had been seen leaping the falls in recent years but I was out of luck.  I ended up making this series using a 10xND on the camera.

Thanks all for your comments.  Sadly I saw Stainforth was being mentioned in the news of the flooding in Yorkshire last evening.  It must be pretty bad because there is a fairly substantial hill from the village down to the river.

Ah, just looked it up.  They were referring to a different Stainforth near Doncaster.
