Cat Lane Ford,

Denis

Recommended Posts

Took this last weekend, a favourite haunt of mine and a place I have photographed before and posted here.117930263_CatLaneford.jpeg.662a6b17facfbb508a4e1da1cb82efc0.jpeg

This version was just right, the light was spot on, the low sun lighting the bridge and the ford. I experimented with a few Topaz tickles but what i wanted was to try and give it a tickle with the look of a  Turner Painting.

 Did I succeed??

Not sure about the "Turner" look but it's a nice landscape Dennis.  Nearer to some of Constable's work perhaps although he liked his skies.  The comp is spot on. I like the way the reflection leads you through to the track and beyond.

Makes me wonder why it’s called...Cat Lane?.... Do you know?

An excellent composition.

The same old lane or right of way, continues on the other side of the village that part is called Cock Robin Lane, so no idea really as you know the origins get lost in the mists of time Fuji.

A really nice composisiton Denis, are you shooting in raw? Just wondering if you could pull some detail and colour back into the sky?

A bit more detail in that patch of sky would probably help, if there's any there in the raw file that you could pull back.

If only I knew how to, I might give it a go. I really dont understand a lot regarding Lightroom and how to get the best out of it. When I have retired I can spend time on stuff like that, until then this is the best I can do with it I'm afraid!
