A GRAPE SURPRISE

Something incredible and with huge artistic/creative potential tonight.

An ex pro photographer friend of mine, suggested that the drilling of a small hole in the centre of a suitable lens cap, would increase depth of field and add another dimension shots taken through my DIY 90 by 2.8 all the way through ex projector lens.

It was dark when I did the drilling, and these grapes were all I had to be creative with...Just look at the potential here for future fruit and flower pics.

A bit like a pinhole camera, I guess.  Definitely much more DOF than you've been getting.
It obviously depends what you want as the very shallow DOF was a feature of the setup, but this gives you the option to choose.

Thank you for the valuable feedback....... I found it totally amazing that an all the way through f 2.8 - 90mm lens still focused through a 3mm hole in a lens cap ...that lens is over 6 inches long with the adapter....a long way for the light and image to travel.

im going to have fun just discovering what else the lens is capable of.....just a discarded slide projector lens....but, it is a Leica.
