Muffled mist ...

I had an early start  the other morning and driving past a local park I had to stop to take a few photos as, through the  damp, Autumnal mist, I  could  just make out a solitary  park bench on the top of the hill which a few weeks earlier was a blaze of colourful wildflowers . What a difference  a  month makes .....

Thank you M’Lud....  I agree that the bench  has a major role to play in this image ... as soon as I saw it I knew ... strangely enough, I drive past here regularly and on a clear day I have hardly even noticed the bench before .. As you have said....without it, the composition sort of collapses for me .. weird innit ....

Oooh Korks ... if it looks remotely like mucky weather,  would you risk getting splash marks on an Aston Martin.... ?? Tut tut ..?

Appreciate your positive comments on this one gang ... I took half a dozen shots while the mist lingered..I must check out the rest as there was another bench near a corpse of trees that looked like it could provide a decent image ...  it certainly feels like autumn now ...

And it IS that bench that as Korks, John, et al have pointed out, that makes the image. I too am back for another browse, wouldn't mind seeing  a couple more variations on this theme...:)
