The colour image for me too Rye .. I think James hit the nail on the head with his assertion that the mono conversion has less detail in the shadows .. love the viewpoint you often take your steam trains from ... another fine pic to add to your growing portfolio of these classic engines ..?

Thanks Clicker, I've not seen this train before and it's not been on the ELR either... It was quite a dull day yesterday, so ended up using a bigger aperture than normal....
