Ive signed up to the Grid Project in Birmingham.  From January onwards a whole group of us will be going out into the city (we all have designated grids) to document the city in 2020.  This all then gets collated and recorded for the future ..... Ive got some grotty areas <sodemoji.1f600></sodemoji.1f600>

That sounds like a great project.  We (Hitchin Camera Club) did a project in 2016 to photograph every street in Hitchin.

I agree.  It's one area where amateurs like ourselves can make a difference.  For the millennium, a local photographer acquired a set of historical images of Preston and then went and photographed the same areas/buildings from the same viewpoint.  He/she (I can't remember) then merged them in Photoshop so that the historical view gradually transitioned into today's view.  The results were fascinating.

I did that myself in 2016 ... I'd taken photos of Birmingham back in the 1970's, so I went back to the same places and took the same shot to show how things had changed
