Oh Dear !  ?  is exactly the right exclamation.

Because when I had my SONY gear I paid an absolute fortune for a SONY dedicated Macro Lens...an  f 2.8-100 mm if my memory serves me correctly.

Imagine my thought when I saw these results for the first time just now.

All shot through the ..Leica Projector lens married to the focus ring of an old Russian film camera lens. All I did was to add two Extension rings...with little loss of light throuh he straight-through barrel of the Projector lens.

I am truly amazed and delighted.

A superb Macro set up fr less than £60...with the potential to add another extension ring.to gain further magnification.

Yes! Hand focusing is dodgy, but great fun.

Very innovative! Love that last one. Were you a Boy Scout?

Nope !  A Cub-Scout.....for a while yes.

I put it all down to the.....Make-do-and-mend....ethics of mine and previous generations.....my time as a jobbing joiner saw me being forced into lateral thinking where on the spot repairs were required.....plus, my years as a professional Toy-Maker, using almost anything to create lots of moving toys, use in schools and museums.

Added to these is an almost innate urge to experiment and to learn.....Love Life.
