Was just about to reshoot my A-Z challenge picture when i heard an almighty noise in the garden only to see this chap enjoying dinner.
The pigeon was non too pleased I'm guessing.

Wonderful capture!

We could do with one on the small estate where I live, there are so many Wood Pidgeons it's getting rediculous, it would be OK but would it stick to a Wood Pigeon diet... I doubt it!

Indeed, super capture. It's actually a female sparrowhawk (the male is grey and smaller, would probably struggle to take a woodpigeon) not a peregrine.

I was torn between the two James but it was the white beard that pushed me towards the Peregrine.  However, I would be the first to admit that I am no expert.

Aha, just realised, that white beard is in fact a white feather in its beak. 😂
