Salzburg Cathedral (Image Heavy)

A bit of an essay I suppose.  We went for the Christmas Market but it began to snow quite heavily.  Not ideal for wandering around the stalls but nice none directional light in the Cathedral.  The Cathedral boasts no less than five organs.  The main organ loft faces the High Alter at the rear of the building.  The other four "Swallows Nest" organs are on the corners formed where the Transept crosses the Nave.  You can just see them in the shot down the Nave. The exterior shot was taken the day after (the snow didn't last. It turned to rain). The cathedral is the large building with the cars parked alongside it .  The market was in the square to the left as was the cathedral entrance The stalls made a clear shot of the entrance difficult.  I did manage one using a Fisheye but I'm not sure I like it so I've not posted it.  Sharper in Lightbox as always.

Some beautiful symmetry on these John and what a great job you have done with the  verticals .A very pleasing  reference and memory holder of a rather  lovely  cathedral. Hard to choose a fave  but if pushed  I 'd go for #2 with the figures really  giving depth and perspective .. I love the tall narrow aspect you've used to complement the subject matter. .
