The Folly. Audley End House, Essex.

The house has four different Folly's in the grounds at all four main compass points. This one lies to the east.

That's quite impressive - particularly the "moat".   The sky is rather attractive too.
I went to Audley End on a school trip - obviously MANY years ago!  I can't remember much about it now though - apart from the fact that the landscaping was done by Capability Brown.  It's not that far away - probably worth another visit.

A nice symmetrical comp. and I also like the wide angle has turned the clouds into leading lines.

Yes Geoff, that and my little 35mm prime are my favourite lenses

I have two similar favourite lenses Denis.. My 35mm prime and my 10-24 mm  wide angle .. Haven't been to Audley End House before ...looks like a Jousting tournament us on this weekend !   Nicely composed with the cloud formation  seemingly producing leading lines to the Folly itself .too !!..
