Another from the Cornish Birds Of Prey Centre when we were there a few weeks ago..

Nicely caught Denis, one thing I like about bird of prey centres is you can get up close with otherwise elusive and hard to find raptors....

If  anyone  knows where they have a similar place for Kingfishers...........

To be honest its a hard crop from where he was resting, it sat on a rock about 20-30 foot away during a flying demo.

Thought I had replied to this Denis - so doing so now in my 'catching up mode'. Raptors are my favourite birds but we just have to rely on catching what we can in the wild. The feather detail and colour is lovely in this one , nice shot!
