I rarely take flower and insect shots since I sold all of my SONY Camera and Macro Lens.

 

But this opportunity popped up the other day....as seen through my Panasonic GX8 and Panasonic-Leica 25 mm lens.

Nicely caught Fooj.  The mono separates the flower from the BG more but I prefer the colour and it might stand a tighter crop.

It also makes the insect stand out more from the flower.  It's nicely positioned  - a bit like the hand of a clock.

I agree with John about the tighter crop.

Nice catch Fuji, the position of the Hover Fly on the flower is perfect and it's interesting to see a mono version - not something I would have thought of doing with that subject.
