I was asked by the owner of this old Victorian house along the lane to photograph the demolition of her home, then the construction of a new one.  (Along the way, I have started photographing 3 other new builds for their new owners).
These are just a few of the hundred or so that I took.
The demolition started at the end of September last year and last week, she and her cats moved into their new home.
It was/is a very interesting project and I've got to know a fair bit about building houses, as well as demolition (though the driver wouldn't let me have a drive of his excavator!)>
Also, under all that rubble, there was an apparently empty goldfish pond.  When the site was finally cleared and the big slab of concrete removed from over the pond, eight large healthy goldfish were retrieved and are now living happily in a neighbours pond.  Amazing how they survived all that darkness and tons of rubble being dropped around them! :)

An interesting process, I do like the 3rd image, I reckon you could crop it to a letterbox format and lose the girder. Looks like you have an interested cat, looks like he's saying in the last image "But what about my goldfish????"

I think he was saying "Mum!  Where has our house gone?" ;)

That third image is one of my favourites and looks better at full size. :)

This is a panorama pic of the view that could be seen from the road when the house was demolished (the original is 42" wide)

The view from the bedrooms of the new house and its new neighbour will be a bonus for the new owners :)
