Knaresborough...

This has got to be the most photographed view in Y*rkshire. I think it's the same view they used for one of the challenges on Landscape Artist of the Year.

I've given this a bit of a wash over with Topaz and then added a light texture just to make the whole thing fizz a bit.

For anyone interested, the Topaz preset is called Chinese Watercolor (note the US spelling).

I was looking at the shots I took last year in Sept, and there was one almost identical, it even had a boat in almost the same spot.

Let's have a sken - post in this thread if you wish.

It really is a great view and it's uncanny how great Lancashire minds think alike when in Y*rkshire.

We sat for about 15 minutes just enjoying the view (and doing a bit of people watching) and almost everyone who walked by stopped to take a photograph.

I thought that when I saw it, we must have been stood literally within a few feet

It is an odd feeling isn’t it ... I think it’s about the same place I stood too years ago ... with a film camera ... just cannot find  the pic though ...

This  is a typical Korky style processing... almost a signature of yours   Korks and very recognisable ... it works well to make this well known scene a bit different ...  not an easy thing to do . But it works for me ...
