Luton Carnival 2019

Recommended Posts

A very nice set of pics.

Shot 1 is the best image for me - I just love all the glittery swirls and curves. I wonder if anything could be done to get rid of the figure in the baseball cap. Maybe Clicker can offer advice, she's a bit of a whizz with the clone tools.

Thanks, Korky.
The guy in the baseball cap was watching from the other side of the road and I think he got in the background of several of my shots - you can see him in #2 as well!

I got this one without him but I preferred the dancer's pose in the other shot.

Thanks, Geoff.

How wonderfully imaginative these costumes are ... and so elaborate and well executed .... a Fabulous  Carnival atmosphere captured here Hatter!

Thanks, Polly.  Sorry - I seem to have failed to respond to this earlier!  There must be a massive amount of work involved in the costumes - they're different every year.

I wish I could watch a carnival like this, ours was killed off a few years ago due to bad managemant and someone actually fell off a float!

great shots, prefer the 2nd shot of the woman, it's all in the facial expression.
