Nice Idea but the BG overpowers the subject a bit for me.  Slightly tighter crop perhaps.  Incidentally, why are you hobbling?

Hi John .... I wanted the fern shapes in the background particularly  for this one John  but I see why you thought a tighter crop  would be appropriate... 

 Regarding the hobble .. for the past 6 weeks have been on crutches and back and forth to hospital after knee suddenly  gave way when walking through town . I thought I had been shot  because something snapped and  the the pain was excruciating .. turns out after MRI scan  I have torn medial ligament and a tear across medial  meniscus  so waiting for  operation on the knee ..  doh ..  hence not much in the way of photos lately apart from stuff from my archives ... strange thing is I can drive with no pain at all ... just can’t go anywhere when I get “there”...

Snap (sorry, not appropriate).  Did exactly the same thing coming off a golf course last week after my brother tried (unsuccessfully) to teach me how to play golf.  He's now in hospital after a kidney op so it looks like we are all feeling a bit sorry for ourselves.  Sorry to here about your problem.  At least mine seems to be clearing up with a bit of support.

• Oooh.   A sympathetic ouch ...  I know how you feel   ..  hope your brother is on the road to recovery too . .   Hubby has offered to swap my Mazda for a mobility  Scooter ..!!!   He’s got a nurse  changing the dressings every other day...

Oh dear! That puts my...cracked rib into perspective doesn’t it?.....it still hurts like mad though, and finding a none painful sleeping position remains impossible...

The photograph! It reminded me instantly of the very similar ones I shot of unfurling ferns a week or so ago....love ferns.

Oh dear Fooj  ..... I know all this is off topic  but ...  how did you crack a rib .... not by  laughing too much  I hope ...  We are all in the was aren't we ?...What with Rye and his bad eye  too .. and Denis and his hand. As he  said to me earlier in the week .. yer couldn't make one good'un out of all of us ..!.

How did I crack a rib...... I simply bent down to re tie a shoelace....I heard and felt a cracke, jumped because I honestly thought it was the glass in my iPhone cracking....then the pain set in, to confirm it was a rib.

Fourweeks ago now, so hopefully, Nature is repairing it naturally.......I can’t wait to sleep comfortably again.

Wonder why you're only getting pictures from our lounge window, or back door - because you can add me to this list too! Tear in the Glut Max, Burstis and crepitus in left hip joint. Waiting to hear from specialist clinic, probably on priority list for hip replacement.
