New Hay Barn Farm

Recommended Posts

A telephoto (164mm) Landscape for a change.  I was looking for wildlife up on the fells between Whitewell and Dunsop Bridge when I spotted this across the valley.  The clouds were providing some nice light and shade.

Needs lightbox for a bit more bite.

Lovely shot, John.  I like the fact that there are more hills where I'd expect to see sky.
The road makes an effective lead-in and the buildings work well as a focal point.

What Gareth said, though I'm wondering if a lighter coloured frame, maybe white, would make it stand out even more.

Thanks Gareth, thanks Rye.  Not sure about a white frame Rye.  Might be a bit distracting when there isn't a very dominating subject but I will give it a try.

I always use black frame masks on my printed images - this works better for me on screen with the white border
