A bird and some Ducks

Recommended Posts

Finally got out last Sunday for the first time since January.  Went up on the Fells and found a few that I liked.

1. Swedish Blue Duck.  Apparently Quite rare and threatened so I was quite pleased to find it.

2.  Mallards.  Nothing special but I just liked the swirl and patterns of the water around it.

4.  The ever present Pied Wagtail.

A good set, John.  I like the blue duck - not seen one of those before.

Thanks Gareth.  It took some time to identify the Swedish Blue.  It doesn't feature in my RSPB handbook for some reason.

I must admit I'd never heard of the Swedish Blue Duck before - it must be different to the domesticated breed that turned up in Google searches. I have pied wagtails coming for the meal worms I put out - that's if the pigeons don't scoff the lot....
