Spring Woods near Whalley, the bluebells are just around their peak at the moment...

Nice.  The letterbox crop works well.  They look a bit more "out" than Hitch Wood was on Saturday.  (We have another trip there planned next weekend though.)

Love to see Bluebells like this Rye because I have memories of places like that but we simply cannot see them over here.  Very nice colour and composition.

That's nice Rye.  I know the place well.  Used to be an annual outing when we still had our hound.  One of those places and times of the year that just invite photography but I never managed a decent composition.  You have though and the letterbox format suits it well.  I like that.

Thanks Gareth, yes, I think they are just at their peak - it will be the ramsons next.

Thanks John, I used my Tokina 11-20mm wide angle for this, so there was a lot of empty foreground, so a letterbox crop seemed the way to go.

The wide view and the positioning of the trees is what makes this.  It's a good comp.  Worthy of a wall.
