Great walk, three miles there and back leading to stepping stones over the River Dove.

You definitely picked a great time to get unusual light  for February photos . ...  Last  time I stepped on those stones must be 20 years ago ...  a lovely part of the world David    My fave is the last one ... just made me feel nostalgic ...

Polly is right about the light.  It's just perfect for the time of year, that is when there is no foliage or hard colour around.  Two sets of nice captures (this and the previous post).

Thanks guys,  going in midweek February meant that the crowds were avoided.  Getting across the stepping stones on a bank holiday can be a nightmare - you almost wish for traffic lights!

Thanks Richard. This was my first visit for many years. I wasn't aware there was ever a problem with the stones but they are very stable and (thankfully) not slippery.

A nice set of images with some great light, I bet it's a nice walk in summertime as well.
