Must be the time of year. I have been experimenting as well.  There are a few ways of separating a subject from its background such as selecting an appropriate DOF but I wondered whether setting a normal subject against a processed background would work.  I've tried a few that I will post from time to time but here is the first couple of images.  As to the title, I don't know either.

Ummm, I've looked at this a few times now and I'm still not sure. Whilst a like the graphic quality of the background, I'm not sure if the realism of the cut-out subject works - especially in the first image, it's not so obvious in the second though.
