Orb Spider...

Saw a particularly hairy Golden Orb Weaver in the shade house, so had to 'get him':

A few seconds late a tiny grasshopper jumped, accidentally, into the web and he was wrapped up for lunch in about 5 seconds!

Have missed seeing our nice Orbs this season, even though the webs can be a bit of a pain, especially when at face height.

Two Nice captures.  Nice of them to sit at face height.  So much easier to focus.

John, the webs can be a pain at that height, but the are usually pretty easy to see as you head in their direction. We do avoid them as much as we can.

Excellent photos Kobione, did you use extension-tubes or anything?

WereBo I am one of the least technical persons on here, but still enjoy what I do. No extension tube, or anything, just a simple grab shot with my TZ80, and one of the reasons I like the TZ is because it can literally be anywhere with me as I wander on our block with Kelly & Brodie and then spot something like this.

Simply taken in macro auto focus mode.
