Bit of a crop again, why are the tops of tall trees so far away

That's a different pose from the usual that we see Mike ...and I'd be pretty pleased with that exposure  ... it looks sharp enough  to catch a good beady eye too  I suppose they have to be choosy about which tree and branch they choose to land on too .Their  weight would preclude a lot of topmost branches as .usualyl the further  up a tree one goes, the thinner the branches become.
