I am looking  into  why it hasn't posted Geoff .. ...  What were the dimensions too please  ...   I am trying to ascertain  what the ceiling now is for file size per post .. I thought it was 2 MBs now  but if it only 1 MB ... That is the size for the whole  of that one post  so any text  is included in the data... I'm wondering if the 11 kbs left  on that post  was exceeded  because of that  ( if 1 MB  is the ceiling ) ... so  could you reduce the size  by say 50 -100 kbs and see if it posts then ...sorry   about this ...we really are trying to get to the bottom of this ...

Ps I have deleted the duplicate post  of the same name  for you .

.I think the image is too large for the post Geoff ..I suspect the sum total of the data for the post must exceed the allowance a  Member is  allowed to  upload  .... 1Mb is the total  data allowed per post whether it is 1,2 or 3 images including the data ascribed to the text . Now it appears if more than one image is being uploaded in some cases ...the forum software is maybe returning them to their default size  making the totals exceed the limit for Members .  There is also some confusion  about the different  upload allowances between NEW MEMBERS  AND MEMBERS AND CONTRIBUTORS      There will be amended guidelines published on the site in the next few days regarding posting of images and hopefully  we will also resolve the issues where file sizes are doubling once uploaded in a few cases . 

 I really would appreciate it if you could try reposting  your image with a reduced file size  .but reduced only by maybe say 100-150 kbs    Or email me the image and let me try it. Cheers  I’ll pm may address .

NB The maximum for members is  2MB  PER POST    but dimensions should not really exceed 1050 pixels on the longest side I  believe .

Geoff had tried to upload and nothing happened and there was a duplicate thread which I deleted as I have mentioned earlier .  He has emailed me the original that failed to upload. Meanwhile he has reduced it I presume (haven’t checked yet what the new size was ) and been able to post it ..  I will go and check the size of the image  he sent me ... and report back ...

Just wanted to draw your attention to the amendment .... We still are trying to ascertain why  with that 2MB  ceiling,   the Forum  was increasing the size and refusing to upload consequently . :wallbash:
