Wood Turning

A man, after my own heart Brian.....

I was using my woodturning lathe only yesterday.....bowls aren’t my thing though...usually it’s ...pendants, pens, toys....or small lidded boxes.

Wish I could make matchstick and sweetie Photo-props though....they were fantastic ... great imagination.

That's an interesting image that tells a story.  I like that you have caught the shavings flying .  It's also the sort of image that would lend itself to a mono conversion if you had a mind to.  Preferably the sort of high contrast image that Fuj sometimes produces.

Thanks Fuji and John.   I'm not a great fan of mono and usually need a good reason for the conversion. But in this case, I'm rather pleased with the rotation of the wheel. Seems more emphasised in the b/w. So thanks, John.

Coincidentally, Fuji, I picked up a wood turning lathe from a friend's place, yesterday. I've never done any before but have watched loads of YouTubes and am quite keen to get started.
