After seeing a strange yellow globe floating around the sky yesterday, I googled it to discover it's the sun, so I decided to check out my balcony.....  Imaging my surprise and pleasure to see this little Marigold waking up in one of the plant-pots - It was a good opportunity to practice my rapid lens-swapping skills, changing my 18~55mm zoom for a 40mm macro

My first attempt at macro with this D5600, it even got the spider's-web strand in the 2nd photo.....

Congratulations on your sighting of the yellow globe.  I don't think I've seen it since last Sunday.  (Hmm... Sunday - Sun-day?)

Is it usual for marigolds to "wake up" this early in the year?  Good macro shots!

Well, so much for Mrs WereBo's plant identification, I just googled marigolds to find out more about 'em and my flower looks nothing like any of the marigolds on the internet....

So, it's back to the drawing-board to discover what it is......
