A study in textures ..

Got a bit bored for an hour  so fiddled with this photo taken last year at Harvington Hall ...

Not overdone which can sometimes be the case, it provides the comfortable feel of a cottage yard.  Nice work.

Here is the original ... I like to show what an image has started out as when I manipulate it  to this extent .....SOOC.. I wasn't too unhappy with it to start with  and crop would have sufficed probably  .. and removing my reflection!

Sometimes fiddling can be therapeutic ....

Nice to see the original Clicker, nice subject and the textures you have twiddled made it more artistic in a very gentle sense.

I'm not really into twiddling, apart from a couple of pre-sets that I occasionally use, but it is nice to see what people can do.

Love what you've done with the original, it really has given it a fabulous lift. Those textures are smart as paint (as we say in the outlands).

I also missed it (or maybe I did see and never got around to posting), the crop and brightening has made a big difference from the original.

Thanks Rye ...  yeah ... the crop was the first thing I did ...   I like to post original pics and then the edited version mainly so that one can see what a difference something often quite simple like a crop and a vignette or twiddle with  a filter  can make to an image ... it doesn’t always finish up improving it though....lol
