TOOTLING THROUGH HISTORY

A good friend and Street shooting buddy, has has very generously,  loaned me his brand new OLYMPUS PEN-F with a 17- 1.8 lens attached ....(.35 mm on M4/3 )..... I will have the camera for a week or more.

The very different layout of controls is taking time to get used to, especially as my usual very convenient under the thumb switch in my GX8 isn’t there....on the PEN-F it is over on the other side, that is my only real gripe.

There are oodles of extra settings .... but I won’t be using them..... I set for my Street work, which is pretty standard...betweeen f 2.5- f8  S 200- 1000 depending upon conditions, and venue.

I didn’t have much time to give this,  beautiful, very well made camera a proper workout..... this little ...Austin Ruby ?...... clicked my shutter, because it looked great against that very contemporary background.

Really like that Fooj .... It looks just what it is... sedate, iconic and just Tootling through History as you so aptly put it ...  and the fact that it is so out of place is what makes it a clever capture ... Nice work  Sir ..

Thank you both..... did you note the Union Jack flying just above my little.....Tootler ? That helps too....

I am loving using the Olympus Pen-F ...except for the power switch, which is crack handed for me.....

An interesting old car.
I think I'd have cropped a bit off the left to make the subject less central and driving into the picture.  (Just the "part car" at the edge.)
