 I agreee about the mono image Dave ... the composition is really well balanced and well thought out and the reflections add both interest and additional light to the foreground.

The middle pic I think would benefit from the verticals being straightened as I think you have captured it making the far riverbank  your horizontal plane ... 

The third one loses a lot of it’s focus and impact by the light path on the left which distracts my eye completely taking it out of the image instead of leading me into it and concentrating on the  sunburst and the it’s reflection. Do you think it would  be better cropped in the right places ...  or  suitable darkening subtle vignette to take the brightness of that path away ... ... 

My version  with a crop and a tinker with the  burning tool .... just to show you what I would have done with it ...  as I always say ...it's just my opinion...  and these things aren't writ in stone ...lol

Thanks Polly, I really like your version.  The original Raw file was very under-exposed so that I could stop the sunburst being  blown out. I then  lifted the shadows and black s but  didn't really consider cropping out the path.  Nice job, thanks again
