Nattily dressed in short overcoat, smart tweed hat, carrying a large black guitar case, portable amplifier plus a folding stool, this distinctive gent, with his characterful haircut arrived in our small town about three weeks ago.

Since then, he has appeared every other day or so, in our main shopping square, to belt out popular songs in a loud and distinctive voice.....

I have taken shots of him playing, but this close-up portrait reveals more of his psyche, I think ?

GX8 M4/3 Camera with Leica/Panasonic 25 mm - 1.4 lens at f4 .... a 50 mm on my camera.

Yes, Van.....Thank you for asking an important question.

He has been playing in town every other day or so for the past three weeks.....He did email me for the digital version of this portrait and others of him playing....we exchange the time of day and put the world to rights too.....he likes guitars as much as I like cameras.

I always introduce myself and offer my card to everyone I request a Street Portrait from.....only about a third ever email.

Like you I offer my card out to people i photography, but as you say very few reply.
