RECRUITING NEW MEMBERS

It is fantastic to see TIPF firing on all cylinders again, after Stirling work by our new Admin Team, good to see too, fresh very lively posts and honest responses, the latter so very important because comment and feedback create the oil which keeps the wheels turning and motivation high.

Could I suggest please, that current members al, actively promote membership of TIPF to any photographer they chance upon, no matter where or when......if you are a member of a photography club, ask the hon sec if you can promote our forum in club literature.

I carry contact cards with me at all times, I give these to anyone who might like an email copy of their street portrait, these to will carry a line about joining us, next time I print a set.

Next, although my advanced years prevent me from wanting to travel far; my offer to meet members for a ...Coventry City Centre Shoot...still stands.....a fine day would be good, but the City has ample indoor photo venues already mentioned. Coventry is almost dead centre of England for motorways and rail so an overnight stay shouldn’t be necessary. 

A 10:00 - 10:30 am meet up for  a quick intro and coffee, then, after directions from me to all the nearby attractions, we separate to do our chosen stuff, then meet up again for a chatty-happy lunch...

Coventry subjects all within a mile radius ....Cathedrals new and old....Transport Museum....Herbert Art Gallery and Museum....Circular Market.....Architecture, modern and Ancient.... Street Photigraphy galore..... plus much more.

It needn’t be too formal, or over organised... just an agreed summer date....even more than one date .....I will have the time, if I have plenty of notice....Saturday’s are obviously better than Sundays ...or, mid-week during holidays...... Just bring you camera and enthusiasm....

Thank you Fooj for your comments ...as one of our veteran members your enthusiasm is always infectious  and your points of view are always worthy of respect .  Ryewolf and Denis and I have got Coventry on our radar for a day out  in the future  so that idea certainly has legs for us  Fooj. As you say, it is good to see the Forum so full of life again, so thank you for your support ...though I know it has always been evident ...
