Thanks John, the first 3 were taken as the first train arrived in the morning.

Thanks Denis, this was taken late afternoon as it was heading back to Bury, I decided to keep it in colour rather than a mono conversion.

Thanks Kobione, it's surprising just how much a scene can change by the direction you point the camera. The first three images were literally taken 30 minutes apart, the first was at a foot crossing, my car was parked near the signal box. So it was a quick walk back, jump in the car for a mile drive to Rawtenstall to watch the train as it was uncoupled and attached to the front for the second image. For the 3rd shot I'd crossed the line, and the signal box guy asked if I wanted to take some photos from the steps, which I said yes. The last was about 2 1/2 hours later.
