Surprisingly perhaps this is actually a natural feature, although the flat top is man-made (probably in the iron age).

Take on Ilford HP5+, 5x4 format, with the Intrepid 4x5 camera and Schneider Xenar 180mm with red filter to  cut down the haze (f/32, 1/2s).

Unfortunately the shot about 60° to the right, of the Uffington White Horse was not as successful.
