I use Nik Efex ...have done for years  but I have not used Topaz ... keep meaning to download it .... ... just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day  for all the stuff I want to do ..    ..  Gawd that  was bad then if the weather  was reminiscent of Buxton       ... that was dire wasn't it ?

It was and cold, I was there for 5 hours, I took 14 shots, the rest of the time I spent in tea shops and sheltering from the rain

Thanks John, I have already lifted the shadows in the treeline quite a lot, prior to editing you couldn't see any structure there at all.
