Youve never changed a speedo cable till you have done a mini

Artistically cutting a marigold glove to fit the dustributer is an art

Watching the quarter panel that holds the exterior hinges slowly rust away is nice????

I used to wonder why there were machined holes in the floor pan, until I sealed them up and found when it rained I was in an aqurium and had to unseal them

Oh the list is long but yes the car was fun I must admit I did like them from the moment I saw one in Conway with the name taped out in 59. It said austin severn must have been a proto type road version

Not a cooper though or a cooper s

My cooper was fast but the s was way faster but a little more fragile in the engine department

I owned two mini vans, the first was a 1965 model which I bought at about 2 years old and then I changed that for a brand new one in 1972... that one cost about £700.00. They both served me well, unfortunately I made the mistake of buying a 'Red Robbo' Mini Clubman Estate in 1974 and that was c**p. It developed faults continually from day one, I think it went back to the dealer about 26 times in 8 months. I got rid of it in 1975 and bought a Renault 5TL 956cc... ran that for just under 2 years and then part exchanged it for a sporty Renault 5TS 1289cc... that was great and I kept that for 8 years, when I sold it it had 67,000 miles on the clock and still had the original battery.
