Braughing Station

Now, few, if any of you, have heard of this little branch line station. It was the penultimate stop on the Hertfordshire St Margarets to Buntingford branch line that opened in 1863 and closed in 1964.

It did appear in a 1959 comedy film called 'Operation Bullshine' starring Donald Sinden and Margaret Rutherford,

It fell into disrepair but was saved by the grandson of the last Station Master and is now a beautiful private residence. I would love this as a garden!
