This arrived today.....

Tokina AT-X 11-20 mm f2.8 PRO DX

First time I've had a wide angle lens.

A couple of comparison shots: This was taken on my Canon 24-105mm f4 L

and the same scene taken using the Tokina 11-20mm f2.8 - I was surprised at just how much more you could get in the frame....

What pleases me is how it renders the sky, Just look at how that high level Cirrus appears in each shot. I think you noticed that when you had a look at those I took at the Atom above Wycoller that day.

Thanks Denis, it does render skies quite nicely, something I noticed from your 11-16mm f2.8 version... I think the only difference between the two is the focal length.

A very busy three days as son and family have been up to help us out with some jobs, so lots of fun with the two youngest G'Kids, who did get to go somewhere and do something nice:

Lots of running around and doggie play on our 'beach':

Lots of camera practice by Issy:

Lots of smiley faces - the real ones and some fun ones:

It was very busy, very noisy but lots of fun, and they will be back in a few weeks to do more.
