Being as Richard showed us his Merc the other day, I thought I would share my pride and joy with you all ;-)

Just one of the amazing cars at todays Show................visitors could have a good ride in any one of them in exchange for a donation for Cancer Research:

That is red!! Sooo... did you have a ride, Fuji?

Nooo!.......That doesn't appeal any more, although it used to......many years ago, a Graphic-Artist neighbour used to photograph and then produce large format paintings of classic cars......He had a metallic pearl finish Porsche 911 in his care one day, he took me for a quick spin up the Bypass.....it was the first time I had felt the push of sudden acceleration on my back and that stretch of bypass had never seemed so short.......I never asked how fast we had gone....well over the ton I'm sure.

Yesterday's rides were comparatively sedate, lots of revving and noise, but the trip was the length of the Main Street, plus a little......so perhaps the Model T Ford was more in my line.

Sadly, today, for me...a car is a car is a car.

I did enjoy capturing the detail and general atmosphere though.
